The Workshop for Sustainable Tourism organized under the G4G project, is taking place on Monday 23 March 2026, from 15:00 to 17:30 at CERTH premises. An optional study visit to the CERTH/HIT premises, including an introduction to the Institute’s mission, will take place beforehand, from 14:00 to 15:00.
The workshop will focus on the policies of the European Union on Tourism and the Smart Planning of Sustainable Destinations. Additionally, Thessaloniki will be presented as a Case Study for researching how could Thessaloniki serve the needs of tourists, while protecting the quality of life of citizens and preserving the local environment and long-term sustainability of the destination.
