Interreg Greece-North Macedonia 2028-2034
According to the draft legislative package for the 2028-2034 period published in July 2025 by the European Commission and its communication on the Multiannual Financial Framework for 2028-2034 (MFF) and the outline of the Implementing act, the cross-border strand of Interreg as well as the Greece-North Macedonia programme are confirmed.
The programming process will start in July 2026 (Programming Committee 01 meeting and constitution) and last until the Programming Committee’s approval of the Interreg Chapter, its submission to the EC and the EC’s adoption (end 2028).
The Programming Committee will be supported by the acting Managing Authorit1y (MA) and acting Joint Secretariat (JS) of the INTERREG VI-A IPA Greece-North Macedonia Programme.
A group of external experts will further support the Programming Committee during the programming process and regarding the drafting of the Greece-North Macedonia Chapter of the Interreg plan. If relevant, the contractor will also be asked to propose methods for working in smaller reflection groups and moderate relevant sessions of the meetings to steer a constructive dialogue and decision making.
The programming process is expected to take place according to the following draft timeline, which will be adapted according to the progress of the adoption of 2028-2034 EU Regulation:
