The Interreg IPA Programme “Greece – North Macedonia 2021–2027” is participating today in the 6th Balkan Forum, held under the title: “Entrepreneurship – Sustainable Tourism – Challenges, Prospects and Opportunities in the Balkans”, organized by the Hellenic Ministry of Interior (Sector of Macedonia & Thrace) in Thessaloniki, Greece.

This full-day forum serves as a platform for policy dialogue and regional cooperation, bringing together institutional stakeholders from across the Balkan region. Participants include representatives of Chambers of Commerce, Ministries, Innovation Agencies, Research Institutions, Economic Diplomacy Bodies, and Tourism Organisations.
🌱 Forum Objective
The Forum aims to assess and enhance the entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism ecosystem in the Balkans by fostering cross-border synergies, encouraging innovative policy frameworks, and promoting sustainable development strategies.
Dr. Themis Chatzikonstantinou, Head of the Joint Secretariat of the Programme, will deliver a speech as part of the thematic session titled: “Public Policies and Innovation in Sustainable Tourism.” His intervention will highlight the Programme’s commitment to supporting sustainable cross-border tourism initiatives and public policy innovation, contributing to a greener and more resilient Balkan region.
