Theageneio Cancer Hospital of Thessaloniki, Lead Beneficiary of the JA-CommCare project, announces the implementation of a series of free breast screening examinations.
The activities will be carried out through the Mobile Health Unit of Theageneio and aim to strengthen cancer prevention and early diagnosis services at community level. Free breast examinations will be offered to women aged 45–74, while mammograms will also be performed where deemed medically necessary.
The scheduled visits of the Mobile Health Unit are as follows:
- 16 May 2026 – Aridea
- 17 May 2026 – Exaplatanos
- 13 June 2026 – Sochos
- 3 October 2026 – Evzonoi
- 17 & 18 October 2026 – Aristotle Square, Thessaloniki
The JA-CommCare project focuses on cancer prevention, early diagnosis and care through a community-based approach, contributing to improved accessibility and awareness regarding preventive healthcare services within the Programme area.
The Interreg IPA Programme “Greece–North Macedonia 2021–2027” continues to support initiatives that enhance public health, promote social cohesion and improve the quality of life of citizens through cross-border cooperation.
