The Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy has launched a new Pilot action on Improving the attraction, development and retention of key skills in the Cohesion policy management and control system, which will be implemented in cooperation with the OECD. As the issue of staff attraction and retention has been identified in various reports and official documents, the Pilot action aims at addressing these issues by providing support to up to six programme authorities in building their strategic workforce planning capability, particularly focusing on the attraction, development and retention of staff. Up to six programme authorities will be selected to participate in this Pilot action. Interreg programmes can also express their interest in participating in this Pilot action.
Under this Pilot action the OECD will :
- provide advice to up to six pilot programme authorities participating in this Pilot action on how to attract, develop and retain employees;
- accompany the pilot programme authorities in building baseline HR capability to analyse, understand and develop the key elements of workforce development strategy;
- support and inspire the pilot programme authorities on how to design and implement a strategic workforce planning framework;
- identify good practices and develop practical guidance materials to support better workforce planning for EU funds for the post-2027 period.
